About
Built to serve the community.
A humble, local program — grown from one father's question.
Christian Honer is a former professional beach volleyball athlete, coach, father, and lifelong student of human performance.
Skill Acquisition grew from a simple question:
“What skills, experiences, habits, and physical abilities would I want my own children to have before becoming adults?”
The answer wasn't a single sport. It was a broad foundation — movement, strength, mobility, breath, play, and character — built long before specialization.
That's what Skill Acquisition gives kids in Fountain Hills and Scottsdale: the chance to become capable humans first, athletes second.
Local
Built for the families of Fountain Hills & Scottsdale.
Humble
We coach kids, not egos. Every child belongs here.
Foundational
Broad skills first. Specialization later.
